Portugal-based New Solution makes its debut at Labelexpo Americas with a range of digital label printers and finishing systems. The company made its first appearance at the recent drupa show in Germany and brings its full line-up of equipment to Chicago.
The Memjet NS Pro, based on Memjet Sirius technology, is a single pass inkjet printer for label and packaging applications. It features a continuous ink cleaning system and New Solution’s bespoke software for ink level control, roll radius measurement and temperature and climate control.
The machine can be field-upgraded with the NS F22 finisher, which adds in-line digital cutting plotter, cold lamination, die cutter and slitter. The NS F22 can also be used off-line.
The NS Multi from New Solution is a digital printer for wide format labeling and packaging. Included in the workflow, is a high-powered PC allowing users to install variable data software and alternative RIP solutions as their business needs develop and grow. With a variable print width up to 42 inches wide, the NS Multi is driven again by Memjet print technology.
Although formed only this year, New Solution’s management and engineering team has many years of experience in manufacturing digital printers, particularly for the wide market.
The company has a partnership with INESC TEC (The Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science), a global operation which brings together more than 650 researchers. Its international presence supports the New Solution R&D team with consulting and technology transfer skills.
New Solution has an engineering laboratory and full manufacturing facility at its HQ in Portugal and works with EU development funding.
